Ivan West

Registered Rep, Senior Analyst

Mr. West joined 1031PropertyWatch in 2003 as the Due Diligence Analyst.  Ivan has also participated on OMNI Brokerage’s Investment Committee since 2004 and has reviewed well over 1,000 properties.  Fulfilling these roles, he has become an expert at evaluating sponsors and their properties.  Mr. West has reviewed properties on several levels, including appraisals, feasibility studies, load recovery analyses, return on investment analyses, and environmental reports.  He has also performed many on-site physical reviews of properties.  His knowledge and keen insight for understanding properties have made him the “go-to” guy for tough questions, not only for the 1031PropertyWatch team, but also for many professionals throughout the industry.

Mr. West received his Series 7 registration in 2005, and while still fulfilling his roll as an analyst, became a sales assistant to John Temple, one of the top TIC brokers in the industry.  With Mr. Temple as his mentor, Ivan specialized in solving hard questions and understanding and simplifying any tough situations that may arise for clients.

Today, Mr. West specializes in bringing cash alternative offerings such as REITs, Real Estate Funds, Notes/Debentures, LLCs, and Oil & Gas, as other investment offerings to investors.  Ivan continues to work directly with John Temple and his clients, as well as oversee the 1031PropertyWatch due diligence department and third-party due diligence.  He is often asked to be on tough property conference calls as well as speak on panels at industry conferences.

Ivan has a B.A. degree from Corban College.  He and his wife, Sarah, have two sons who bring them incredible joy.  Ivan is a sports enthusiast.  He is a passionate football and racing fan and has a knack for remembering all things sports related in the same fashion he seems to remember all things relating to properties.
